Norris Prayoonto. Does that name ring a bell? I'm sure it does. It's because he is one of the pioneers of drag racing. A very big name in the automotive world. He is also known as the King of the K series, in reference to the beloved K engines of Honda.
And just recently, he came to the Philippines to check out the car scene in the country. And who else does he go to to do this? None other than JDM Underground. The biggest JDM group in the Philippines, who boasts of a wide array of JDM-inspired cars. The best of the best.
In relation to this, a Yabangan Night was held at Torch Bar and Restaurant in Greenhills. It was of very short notice plus it was a Wednesday night, so we expected to see only quite a few cars. But, no. JDM Underground delivered the goods. Cars came in droves and we were actually surprised with the turnout.
A tastefully-done EK with the rare C-west kit
Nothing beats the classic look
A fully-built K20 in an EG
A wallpaper-worthy s2000
An s2000 whose profile seems to eat you alive
An early 90s car which is fresher than most new cars
An ek with a lot of OEM goodies
JDM goodies left and right. We must say, that it was a Wednesday night well spent.
