JDMU YN x Christmas Party

Words: FIl Canlas

Last Sunday, Dec. 15 a number of people held their Christmas Party at a bar in Quezon City. Saying "a number" is actually an understatement because the turnout was huge! A plethora of JDM cars came and attended the event. Around 70 cars attended. And who else can pull off such a gathering? No other than JDMUnderground.

We were there a little before 2pm and were wondering if the venue was changed because there were no other cars except for the lone green EG parked in front of the bar. We waited for a while and we were greeted by Pat, the owner of the EG, and we were told that we were just kinda early for the event. At around 2:30pm beautifully-built and tastefully-done JDM cars started to trickle in to the venue. And by 3pm, cars sprouted from every direction of the street. Our camera shutters didn't have time to rest and take a breather. Hondas, Toyotas, Mitsubishis, Subarus, Suzukis, Mazdas. You name it, it was there. A variety of set-ups could be seen from the members' cars. The diversity and distinction of each other's rides showed the many ways that one can do to make his car truly an eye-catcher.

What we liked most about the Xmas party/YN of JDMU, aside from the cars, was the very pleasant atmosphere among the attendees. You could really tell that everyone treats each other as family and not just an acquaintance. There indeed was a happy vibe that exuded love and respect for each other. They proved that they lived by their tagline: JDMU is not a car club, it's a lifestyle.

It was truly a joyful and delightful Xmas party and we sure are looking forward to more events with them. We would also like to thank JDMU for the very warm and welcoming accomodation accorded to us. Merry Christmas Wildboys!!!
