Stance Pilipinas x Lateral D |
I’ve been to some amazing car meets but nothing compares to this. It's quite nice to see car guys with different set-ups appreciate each other's tastes. As we have always promoted here at Fresh Produce, real car nuts respect each other's way of dressing up his car.
This was exactly what transpired last Nov. 16 at the Aseana 1. From 8am-6pm, Lateral Drift conducted Round 5 of its drift competition and from 4pm til the latter part of the night, Stance Pilipinas held its Anniversary Meet at the same venue.
It was very nice to see that as the drift competitors were coming out, roaring with their loud and strong engines, cars that attended the Stance Pilipinas meet slowly crawled their way to the venue with their slammed cars. It was not just the number of cars that impressed, it was the quality and the diversity of them. You could really see the appreciation on each other as the drift cars came side-by-side with the fitted cars. All nodded in approval of each other's vehicles. Some drifters even stayed to attend the Stance PH meet
It was very much a place where the operative word was fusion, where East meets West and where ideas collide to create an ever-evolving drive to make different car guys agree with each other. It was a sight to behold. Even if a lot of the cars that were present are familiar ones, you can rest assured their owners strive to keep momentum going when it comes to making sure there are always new changes or upgrades happening.
And there was more. Some of the participants of the events came with their own share of relief goods to be given to the victims of Yolanda in the Visayas. Not only did we see a group of people who only cares for their cars but also for the community.
As we have always said: Respect begets Respect. And there was no other perfect example than the events that transpired that day. Truly, it was a Saturday well-spent.
